0.6/1 kV PVC Insulated Low Voltage Power Cables (NYY)
YVV-U / YVV-R (TSE) – NYY (VDE) – Cu/PVC/PVC
0.6/1 kV PVC insulated low voltage power cables (NYY) are designed for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy in fixed installations. These cables are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications, including installation in cable ducts, conduits, and underground systems with additional mechanical protection.
NYY cables feature copper conductors with PVC insulation and PVC outer sheath, providing high mechanical strength, electrical reliability, and long service life under demanding operating conditions.
Applications
Power transmission and distribution systems
Fixed installations in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
Cable ducts, conduits, and trunking systems
Outdoor installations with additional mechanical protection
Industrial facilities and infrastructure projects
NYY cables are widely used in low voltage power networks where reliable energy transmission and mechanical durability are required.
Cable Construction
Conductor: Solid or stranded copper conductor
Insulation: PVC
Inner Filling: PVC (if applicable)
Outer Sheath: PVC
NYY cables are manufactured with copper conductors insulated with PVC and protected by a robust PVC outer sheath. This construction provides excellent electrical insulation, mechanical protection, and resistance against external influences in fixed installation applications.

Technical Features & Usage Areas
Operating Characteristics: These cables are designed for a maximum operating temperature of 70°C and a short-circuit temperature of 160°C (for up to 5 seconds).
Standard: Produced according to TS IEC 60502-1 standards.
Construction: Features a solid or stranded copper conductor, PROTODUR (PVC) insulation, and a robust PROTODUR (PVC) outer sheath (standard color: Black).
Applications: * Ideal for indoor and outdoor installations.
Can be used in cable ducts, underground, and within concrete.
Commonly used in local energy distribution, power stations, and industrial plants where there is no risk of mechanical damage.
Note on Capacity: The current carrying capacities are calculated based on a ground temperature of 20°C and an air temperature of 30°C.
